Guest guest Posted July 18, 2005 Report Share Posted July 18, 2005 Thanks for the inspiration!! I've been talking OT about coming to Ashville because I'm thinking of it as a place to retire. I live in . VA, right in the middle of the " Springfield ByPass " construction that has gone on for a few years and will continue for years to come. Anyway, my townhouse has appriciated a lot since I purchased it 14 years ago. My real estate taxes has actually doubled since 99'. When I have to retire, I can not affored to stay here. Ken and Tammy offered a place to stay as well as a tour of their town. Because of all my auto immune problems, I explained I would be more comfortable in a motel, but I would love a tour. Because of a celebration in Ashville, NC the last weekend of this month I said I would try and come before that weekend. I just wanted to let Ken and Tammy know that my roommate just gave me a check for the next 30 days rent, but told me she was moving in with her boyfriend the last weekend of this month. Can't come, I need to stay here to " watch " the move and one of my cat's is diabetic, needs insulin and there would be no one here to give it. I guess it just wasn't the time for me to visit. Please keep me in your thoughts, I'll get there sometime and thank you for your genorosity and I love your words!! FYI Ken and Tammy celebrate their 1st anniversary Sunday, July 31st!!
