Guest guest
hi carol. i don't know if lifescan has an office here in the philippines. i think i should tell my dad to purchase a newer model. lifescan test strips are available here in local drugstores. thanks for all the information. take care. trisyo Re: New member. Hi Trisyo: I recently exchanged my One Touch II meter for a newer model. I called Lifescan, requested the exchange and they sent me a newer model meter within a week. Of course, whatever meter you end up with, make certain that the strips are available for purchase in your area before you start using the meter. >From what I understand, the One Touch II is a whole blood meter. The readings from whole blood meters are generally 12-20% lower than actual lab readings. The newer meters are plasma calibrated and are much closer to lab readings. Hope this information helps you. Guest guest
hi, my name is wilma, i am 48 years old, married with 2 children and husband and 1 pet named Peyton. Thanks for letting me join your group. i have been in pain the last 5 or so years, i have been to phyiscal therapy, 3 or 4 doctors, i had one doctor even tell me that all my pain could be in my head. cause he couldn't find out why i was hurting so bad. all i know is my pain is real. the doctor i go to now is a good doctor, sorta like a friend in that she treats my mother and a few other family members of mine. she has sent me for numorous test, and all comes back showing nothing. she said i may have fibromyalgia, but she didn't want to put that on me, my thought was if i have it, i have it. at least i would know what was wrong with me and all the pain i go through, so the diagnosis she has put down for me is myalgia. even then she didn't tell me. her nurse asked me how my myalgia was going. is there a difference between myalgia and fibormyalgia?? she has tried me on different pain pills, right now i am on vicatin, 2 different muscle relaxers, skelaxin and effexor. most times those don't even help, even if i take a double dose. sorry to ramble on so, i just get so fusterated at not knowing what the heck is wrong with me. my oldest sister has fibromyalgia and told me all the stuff and pain i have is just like hers. thanks for listening, Wilma.
