Guest guest
Hi all, I'll be unsubing now for awhile. Leaving for Chicago tomorrow night. Having another decompression done Friday a.m. He's going to re-explore the decompressed site (last surgery was 4/29/99), remove the ring of C1 and replace the bovine graft with autologous tissue. I know I'll get through everything fine. The memories of the pain and nausea and vomiting after that last one are still pretty fresh in my mind. Hopefully, things will go much better this time. I still need to find a place for my hubby to stay. Does anyone who sees Dr. Frim know of a nice place to stay and not in that immediate heighborhood? Thanks to ALL of you for your help and support: I couldn't have made it through these past 4-5 months without you all. I'll send an update or my hubby can when I start moving next week. BTW-One of my children's old friend's mother called me yesterday. Her son got a diagnosis of ACM1, she got on the computer, stumbled across this site, seen my name and called me. I truly believe there is much more than chance directing our lives. So, yesterday, she came over and we talked, and went over the general anatomy, some questions, etc. She got an appt with Dr. Frim. I encouraged her to ask questions here also. I don't have her email address (silly me-forgot something again). She's very scared and is wondering how to tell her 10 years old boy about this. If any moms or dads have any suggestions on how to talk to a 10 year old about this, please post to the group attn: Laurel U. Again, thanks everyone, I'll write when I get back. Hugs, in Green Bay, Wi ACM1, Decompressed (posterior fossa crani, bovine dural graft), cervical stenosis and kyphosis, degenerative disc disease C5-6 and L5-S1, 2 lumbar laminectomies, 2 catheter ablations for SVT and atrial arrhythmias, still arrhythmias, neurocariogenic syncope, etc, etc,
