Hi, Sharon

I think most of us had the same experience. I would now look for a

neurologist who has had a lot of experience with LBD. Usually one who

specializes in movement disorders will meet your needs.

-- between PD and LBD

Hi all,

My father was recently diagnosed with LBD. The doctors thought it was PD

in the beginning and are very sluggish to adjust to the change. So

we're pretty confused with the new situation. We don't yet

understand what it means in term of medication regime change and the

change in the entire health care approach.

If anyone had similar experiences I would love to hear about it.

Thanks,

Sharon

PS- Thanks but I managed to change the setting myself after

all. Very untypical for me…..

Hello (Mr) Sharon, So good to have you on board, so a hearty welcome, but we

don't serve popcorn. You get potluck just like the rest of us.

All playing aside, you will be treated with kindness and respect on this

List. It is a very helpful List.

The first rule of thumb about medications, is to be very careful about

antipsychotic. Most LBD patients cannot handle them.

I am sure you have been directed to 's List of a great deal of

wonderful help.

Again, welcome to a warm and loving family,

Smile and let the sunshine in with love,

Imogene

Caregiver for my true Texas Gentleman Husband of 37 years. First diagnosed

with Alzheimer's by a Neurologist OCT, 2005. But, on May 2, 2006 Dr.

Schillerstrom, Geriatric/Psychiatrist diagnosed LBD with Parkinsonism.

My precious husband, Don, is taking Zoloft and Razadyne.

A happy personality is contagious. Infect someone today.
