RE: DynaVox V Max for sale (loaded)

I am offended that you even purport that I am trying to sell something that does

not belong to us. I am not that type of person and I do not know anyone who is.

*Why* would you ask such a strange thing?

The communicator is in mine and my son's name. I actually have the invoice for

it!

Unfortunately, it does not serve the purposes he needs, as I stated in the ad.

He would do much better with a glorified laptop that has a CD/DVD drive. The

DynaVox VMax does not have a CD Rom Drive.

I was unaware that he would be unable to use CD's in it and we cannot even

install the Tag Junior for the leapfrog system because of the screen resolution

not going over 800 X 600.

However, it is a great device for someone more disabled than my son.

The device sits here, unused, not borrowed (or I would give it back), and I

thought someone out there might need one and I could sell it and buy something

he could actually use.

I am sure Jen did not mean to insult you she was just politely pointing out

that many people do not own the device, they are borrowing it from a

service. I purchased 's - which she has outgrown a use for. I use

the term " purchase " loosely here as we had to go on Medical Assistance (not

based on income but based on a disability) and they covered the cost - so it

was free for us - and she did use it for a year but now she has outgrown her

need for it.

Sorry that you felt offended. I did not mean it the way you took it. It was

just a question and I was just stating that I had one to but even though we

don't use ours we can't not give it to anyone or sell it. I know families

usually can't afford them and possible get one thru donations or on loan, like

we did.

Good luck in selling yours! Sorry that you misunderstood.
