Bayley vs Denver Developmental Test

Dear all

My son is 2 years old with MDS. As part of the Portage team we have been

working with for the last year, he is assessed every 2 months using Denver

developmental testing and todate, no developmental delays have been identified

with the exception of language. However, yesterday our speech therapist told me

that Denver is completely outdated & the leading and most detailed test used in

the US is now Bayley Developmental Testing, which her office just happens to

offer. Before I knew it I had an appointment scheduled for next week!

Does anyone have any experience of Bayley developmental testing? Can anyone

confirm that it is recognised by the experts as being a more thorough & accurate

test than Denver? Any information you can offer would be much appreciated.
