Guest guest
Tawny. I'm sorry I didn't reply to your post yesterday, but I was late in reading the messages and by then you'd already had a ton of replies. I can't believe they gave away your patches!!!!! This just seems wrong. Those were meant for you, not other patients in the practice. This just seems so unethical, doesn't it? Glad you were able to get some for now. Please post and let us know if they work for you. All the best, > I picked up my patches this morning. They gave me all of them but 28, > so was lucky to get them. Guest guest
Hi , It was really crazy, wasn't it? They still owe me some when I go to my next doc appointment. I was really shocked when they had the nerve to call me, and tell me their actions. Hope your doing alright, take care, Tawny > > I picked up my patches this morning. Guest guest
Does anyone have problems keeping the patches on? It seems like when I put one on, they always try to come off. Tawny
Guest guest
Hi Tawny, I have found the best place is my upper back. Of course Don has to put it on. I, too, have trouble with it coming off from other areas. I find you have to really rub it hard when you first put it on for a couple of minutes. Mine quite often get wrinkled but the doctor said not to worry, you are still getting the dose painkiller. Guest guest
That is annoying, isn't it? But, if it helps, we can work with it:) When I go out, I leave it off. I start sweating, and I might as well forget it. How are you doing? How is your son, been praying for him? You take care, Tawny > Hi Tawny, I have found the best place is my upper back. Guest guest
Tawny, thanks for asking about Chris. He is almost over the pneumonia and he continues to improve slowly. BTW, after telling you about putting the patch on my back, last night I woke up soaking wet from one of my many night sweats (certainly not menopause) and the patch came off in the bed LOL. I am fast running out of places to put it. Generally speaking, I think the addition of the Methotrexate with the Enbrel is beginning to help. I was taken off Mtx years ago because of liver problems so this is a bit of a gamble starting it again. Hugs June ----- Original Message ----- From: tdianaok That is annoying, isn't it? Guest guest
June, Good news, on Chris! I am so happy to hear that. I am glad the MTX is helping you, along with the Enbrel. LOL, same with me on the patch, It usually is stuck to the back of my gown by morning. I wish they would stay on better,......Have a nice day, Tawny > Tawny, thanks for asking about Chris. Guest guest
June, I am glad to hear that is better, i am behind on reading posts. I'm sorry not to have checked in on him sooner. Did they let him come home from the hospital? I don't know why it is but seems respiratory stuff in the summer makes you feel even worse than cold weather. He is still on my prayer list. Guest guest
I use to apply Cetaphil on the " off " days to help with the dryness. I also heard from doctors that Eucerin works good in case you do not like the somewhat greasy feeling Cetaphil and others have. Cetaphil cream is less greasy than the lotion. They are both relatively expensive so you may want to try other brands first. Flaco > Yep getting the same reply from everyone.
