Guest guest
We have been going through a time here at the homefront. My stepdaughter(16) came to our house on Saturday, and begged to stay with us. We decided to let her stay, and deal with trying to get a emergency order to keep her. Her mother has full custody of two girls, while my hubby has every other weekend. He has not got to have his visits with his daughters in the past because of the nasty ex. Both girls have been abused by the step-father. Her mother has put her in 4 mental hospitals, told her to act crazy, so she could get disability on her, and she has been getting disability. Child welfare had put a restraining order on the step-father to stay away from her, and for the Mother to abide by that. First of all she dropped the girls off at a family that the girls go to church with, they have been with them for 9 months. She comes to see them, takes them around this man. They haven't been in school. The Mother came to our county Monday night,to pick up the daughter. She put a runaway report on her, and she knew where the girl was. Three deputies came out to get her, and when they saw how the girl reacted, they called a judge at 10:30 at night, to find out what they should do. They put her in a safe house for the night, and we had to go to court the next morning. There were 6 child welfare workers there, and everyone was very upset about what was going on. Because the divorce, custody, and child welfare problems are in a different county they forced her to go with her Mom. She took her back to the people that's been taking care of the girls. She then signed away all her parental rights away, and gave the one daughter to the family that has been taking care of them. This girl was told long ago that she was not my husbands child. Which the mother has told for years neither child was my husband, she just wanted for him to pay the child support. She then told the man, that my husband would never get the daughter(that wants to live with us), because he's not her father. So, this is all so confusing I know. So, right now she is safe in the care of the people she knows. There is being an investigation on the Mother with child welfare, social security fraud. Were doing all we can to help this child. It's just been a nightmare. Now for the other news. My oldest daughter is pregnant, so I'm going to be a grandma, I'm so happy!!!! Thanks everyone for the prayers. I'm way behind on posts, and hope I can read all of them at least. I'm so exhausted, it's been really bad since last Saturday when all this started. Hugs to my wonderful RA family, Tawny
