I can't believe that anyone who calls him or herself "Jungian" could support bombing a U.N. school, killing innocent children, for any reason whatsoever! Shame on Israel and its blind supporters, Jewish or Muslim! Though I'm not at all surprised by fa and Tony's responses, I truly welcome the courage shown by Charli and Artemis. I don't care about what you've written about, I only care about your responses to the present day crises!

You may not know this, but last night there wasa major demonstration by extremist Islam fanatics outside the IsraeliEmbassy here in London . Similar demonstrations happened in other majorEuropean cities. The perpetrators are claiming police brutality and tryingto whip up support, and anti-Israel feeling, in this country.I demonstrated, alongside many others, against the Iraq war and PresidentBush?s state visit back in 2003. I found the police to be very

professionaland also friendly to our cause. I now work with the police as a VictimSupport volunteer and have not changed my good opinion of them.Whatever your views on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, I implore you allto hold the tension between the opposites and not scapegoat Israel onceagain. Dear Toni, fa, all,I heard or read only one commentator, and that was a "liberal" one, who suggested that people might better understand if they imagined Tijuana or Ciudad Juarez in Mexico lobbing rockets across the border into San Diego and El Paso. Can anyone believe that the US wouldn't retaliate big time? Of course not. Near as I can ascertain, the PLO and Hamas had chances to live in peace, even if divided, and turned them down because apparently they don't want peace, they want annihilation of Israel.Of course, it's not that simple, as we all know, but at the risk of sounding heartless and blasé. it's all part of a process and in that process lies a great deal of pain for everyone.Blissings,SamIn a message dated 1/4/2009 02:56:45 Central Standard Time, priestt@connecttime

fa, this sounds intriguing. Can you expand or send some of what you wrote? I used Inanna in my master's project as well, but only a tiny part. I'd love to read your spin on her.Blissings,SamIn a message dated 1/4/2009 03:17:06 Central Standard Time, josefakingseyes (DOT) demon.co. uk writes:I actually wrote a Masters dissertation in which I argued for the Sumerian goddess Inanna as the missing feminine half of the Trickster archetype, ************ **New year...new news. Thank you fa for some words of common sense and moderation. Let us not forget that it is Hamas who keeps bombing Israel. Israel has warned Hamas many times to cease bombing civilians yet they continue. It comes to a point where you simply have to thump someone pretty hard when they ignore your warnings. Also, I have found whenever I have visited England that the British Police are amongst the most professional and moderate in the world.Regards, To: JUNG-FIRE@yahoogrou ps.comFrom: josefakingseyes (DOT) demon.co. ukDate: Sun, 4 Jan 2009 19:32:23 +0000Subject: IsraelSorry, politics again, guys. At the risk of sounding a party spoiler, can we please not forget the transcendent function? Or some depth psychology beyond who projected their shadow on whom first?Artemis

Good points, Artemis. I think the "process" I mentioned is the road to the transcendent function, which is never an easy journey. As for projections, well, they abound, don't they? Does it really matter who projected what first? That process is not easily overcome, fershure.Whatcha got to say about what you brought up? I think there's a plethora of possibilities for discussion.Blissings,SamIn a message dated 1/4/2009 05:07:15 Central Standard Time, artemis.artemis@ gmx.net writes:At the risk of sounding a party spoiler, can we please not forget the transcendent function?
