Guest guest
Anyone familiar with this clinic? I have an appointment for the 28th. I didn't know really what they were about when I made it...I was just desperate to find a doctor who would actually LISTEN to me, and the nurse who answered was AWESOME. She listened to my sob story about Dr. Jerk, and set me up for the earliest appointment she could. The initial consultation and exam is 2-3 hours long (!), and includes bloodwork (they have their own lab, which is great), xrays, a full exam, and an extensive interview. They sent me the paperwork, and they ask more in the initial paperwork than my current rheumy has asked in the 4 months I've been seeing him! I looked them up online a couple of days ago, and they use a combination of nutritional, homeopathic, physical, and antibiotic therapy combined with conventional treatments, and claim to have a high success rate. It sounds great to me, since I have always believed that nutrition and homeopathic treatments are just as important as western medicine in treating disease, so their philosophy is close to mine in that respect. I am leery about the antibiotic treatment, though, since they use mega-doses for extended periods. I don't like using antibiotics without cause, and especially not large doses. I am hoping they find out what, exactly, is wrong with me. My chiropractor wants me to be tested for MS, which scares me, even though I know that with today's treatment the majority of sufferers have a normal life span. I've had two close family friends die of MS, and it was terrible to watch. Last night I had some trouble swallowing, again, and I think I may bring it up with my doctor. As scary as it is, I want to begin treatment as early as possible if I do happen to have it. Anyway, if any of you know anything about the Arthritis Center of Riverside, please let me know.
