Guest guest
I am new to this group and was wondering if anyone has suggestions about what to do for side effects of Humira (redness, itching, and swelling at injection site). I was diagnosed a year ago and have just done 3 months of Humira. Love it! I have been able to decrease my Methotrexate dosage and it's great to not have to deal with the effects of it so much. Other than the effects listed above I am doing great with Humira. Granted, these only last a couple of days, but thought someone might have found something to decrease the annoyance of these. Any suggestions accepted . Thanks, Kathy
Guest guest
Hi Kathy, I was on Humira for awhile. It helps to place an ice pack on the injection site before injecting, and then again after you inject. Make sure you leave the Humira out for about 15-20 minutes, so it's not cold, and inject the med very slow. That helps with the burning. You can also get info on their site,www.humira.com > I am new to this group and was wondering if anyone has suggestions > about what to do for side effects of Humira (redness, itching, and > swelling at injection site).
