Guest guest
Hi, My name is Cortnee, I am 31, married, i have 2 beautiful boys, 10 and 3. I found out last year in May that I had Rheumatoid arthritis and Fibromyalgia. I had known for sometime that I also had Osteoarthrits and Degenerative Disc Diease, it all runs in my family, my cousin and I both are the same age and have the excat same illnesses. I also have bipolar, anxiety and panic attacks. I have been looking for a place that can understand my pain, where I can go and be heard and listen and help others like myself feel not alone. I feel so alone right now. As much as my husband tries to understand, its just impossible for him to completly. I had carpal tunnel release in Jan 2004 and as soon as I woke up my dr was there asking meif i have ever been tested for RA, I said no. He said you need to see someone and fast Cortnee, you have it, im sure. He said that my tendons were all milky and thick and should be shiny and thin. Well sure enough he was right and turns out is the reason why i need the carpal tunnel release to begin with. My RA Dr. asked me if I have been in pain, I said well im always in pain. He said and you never told anyone? I responded with, well i thought it was cause i was overweight, not for any other reason. So he said given the results and findings of all the tests and what the surgeon had noted on my CTR that i have been suffering with RA since I was a teen and didnt know it. I have tried all kinds of things, metatrexate, lodine, enbrel, flexeril for muscle spasms, now i see him on Thursday and we are going to try the Humeria and meth combination. Well thanks for listening and I look forward to meeting and learning and helping with you all. Cortnee
Guest guest
Welcome Cortnee. Sorry for your diagnosis, but glad you know what is going on and can get treatment for it. I'm 51,married, mother of 4, grandmother of 4 and am on Enbrel, mtx and Naprosyn. You came to the right place to find people that understand what you are going through. I hope the Humira works better for you. a On Aug 17, 2005, at 12:26 AM, Cortnee wrote: > Hi, > My name is Cortnee, I am 31, married, i have 2 beautiful boys, 10 and > 3. I found out last year in May that I had Rheumatoid arthritis and > Fibromyalgia. Guest guest
Thanks a for the reply. I look forward to getting to know you all. I was reading about the Antibiotics, but since my RA is so developed already, I dont suppose it would work for me? I dont ever mind asking my Dr for anything and he is very open to my suggestions and concerns, hes a great Dr. I couldnt survive without him. He treats me as a person and has real concerns and I can tell he cares about all of his patients. Cortnee a <a54@...> wrote: Welcome Cortnee.
