I do know what the procedure is for a scalp biopsy; it is not something that I would want unless absolutely necessary though. I did manage to find a different dermatologist that I do not have to wait all month for. I'm not advocating that everyone with a rash on his or her head rush to do a tissue biopsy, but if you suspect lupus, you've been undiagnosed for a long time, and it's possibly the difference between a diagnosis and no diagnosis, it's a good choice. Glad you can see a dermatologist sooner. I wonder if this means the plaquenil is not working. It seems to be helping with the joint issues though.
