Hello!

I'm back after being out of town for the holidays. I just tried the website

for the poll, but it seems to want a password. Is there information about

this that I missed while I was away?

Hope everyone had a fabulous holiday :)

Nope, you have to go to egroups and sign up properly. I shifted you over to

get everyone off the Topica site and in so doing, you missed the opportunity

to sign yourself up. So just go to the area which asks you to sign up and

you can create your own password.

If you have time, could you include small descriptions of what each of these

remedies is? I'm not familiar with several of them. You could either post them

to the list or put them on a webpage.

Just a thought.

Thanx!

Dear ,

I am a registered nurse as well as a nutritionist with natural health

certifications. I have EDS vascular type, so my remedies would be different

than yours, but if you want to email me with information about the type EDS

you have, any important medical history, any allergies you have, and any

medications you are on I would be happy to see if anything is appropriate for

you. I would suggest for anyone a good natural multiple vitamen and Vit C,

which helps with all types of EDS, as far as the easy bruisability, and all

types do have higher risks of vascular problems than the general population.

Please feel free to contact me either by email at smginleyrn@... or by

phone in the US @ . Please leave a message if I don't answer

because my sister is in the hospital with a stroke right now and I am up at

the hospital keeping everyone on their toes, because they all like to pretend

they know about EDS, when they don't. Love to hear from you. Ginley,

RN, CNC

Hi --

Ok, I tried going to the poll webpage but am having trouble getting it to work

with my screen reader.

You asked which of the alternative pain remedies on your list that I have

questions about.

Looking over your list, I'm not familiar with more than half of them.

I use aroma therapy all the time -- love good smells, and they can be relaxing

and distracting from pain if the pain isn't too bad.

I've never tried accupuncture.

What is the difference between massage therapy, accupressure and therapeutic

touch?

Chiropractors never helped me much.

Can anyone suggest some good herbal remedies?

Anyway, rather than retype half your list, I've marked all the ones I want more

info on with ** (see below).

Thanks for any info.

Hi . I can answer the Reiki question/therapeutic touch. (e H

feel free to jump in here!)

I am a Reiki practitioner Level II. It is a Japanese form of

healing/therapeutic touch that taps into the universal energy that is all

around us. By putting " hands on " a person, the energy is transferred to

that person. It is very relaxing. My speciality is acute/chronic pain. I

can reduce and/or take away pain a person is feeling by putting my hands on

that area and sending them energy.

Ayurvedic Medicine is an herbal medicine from India. Very effective I'm

told.
