Kerri,

I'm a little confused about what cable and internet access has to do

with helping you through a surgery. I would hope that these trivial

matters wouldn't stop them from helping you. Maybe if they don't want

to come to your house, they can help pay for someone to come there and

help.

I wish you were closer so that I could offer some help. You're lucky

that your daughter is old enough to help out. She can do a lot more

than you think. Prepare her for what is going to happen and let her

know it's only going to be hard for a few weeks. Get out a calendar

and let her see how many days you expect to need her extra help. In

these days before your surgery, cook some extra meals for the freezer

so all that has to be done is thaw and heat. I've done that most of my

life. I always cook more so there is some for the freezer. Soups

freeze very well. If you're not into cooking, stock up on canned soups

that can just be opened and heated.

You won't be able to pick up your 9 month old, so the crib will have to

double as a playpen so that the baby will be up high enough to change

the diapers, feed and play with him/her without having to do any

lifting. I'm praying you find help and it doesn't come to this, but if

it does just remember it is only temporary. The benefits of this

surgery will provide much needed pain relief. My friend had breast

reduction surgery done and it ended her neck and back pains.
