Where are the leaders....not for the policitically sentitive among us!

Dear Firesitters,

Some of you will appreciate this summary of Lee Iacocca's new book. I admire his

courage to speak his mind. He is the guy who brought Chrysler from the verge of

bankrupcy, back in the 80s, and borrowed $1.2 billion, with the loan guarantee

of the US govt. Despite his gamble (and much criticism of the govt backing at

the time including many neocons now in power) the loan was repaid ahead of time.

As Iacocca said at the time: " We at Chrysler borrow money the old fashioned

way...we pay it back. " But now he is fed up with those who parade as leaders of

our democracy and is speaking out at age 83. We need more candor like this from

our elders IMO:
