>The result is a "wheel within a wheel way up in the middle of the sky" as the gospel hymn >puts its spin on Ezekiel in the Old Testamrnt. (The 4 creatures the prophet envisions: the >bull, the lion, the eagle, and the man are symbols for the fixed signs of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio >and Aquarius, and reappear as symbols for the 4 Gospels of the New Testament).

It'll be interesting to see what kind of response this pulls from the fundamentalists! *G*

>Bulls were worshiped in the Age of Taurus, rams take over symbolically in Egypt, Greece, and in the >profound contributions of Judaism. (the shofar is a ram's horn), and the fish symbolism of Christianity >should be familiar to most of us during the now-ending Age of Pisces.

I wonder what we'll "worship" in the Age of Aquarius. Maybe clean water?

Works for me.

Also, although we speak of the Age of Aquarius which sounds "watery," isn't it really an air sign? How might that work, then?

Constellation Mythological Forms

http://hubblesource.stsci.edu/sources/illustrations/constellations/I found these pictures on google earlier, and figured I would share them with you all.

http://hubblesource.stsci.edu/sources/illustrations/constellations/images/web_aquarius.gifDoes water seemingly have some sort of direct connection to prana? The symbol is like water and prana at the same time (learned this from A.O.) It seems to me in our forms, prana wouldn't be able to exist without water being given to us regularly..... (I also read cup bearer as a potential translation, any thoughts on this?) Return of the sacred feminine? This also helps with the idea of more earth worship, and the expanding environmental movements.......

The glyph=invisible energy, frquency, vibration ergo prana. The "waters of life" may refer to this. Physical water is ruled by 3 water signs, Cancer, Scorpio. Pisces.....

Aq=air sign, rules space, is ruled by Uranus, higher oct of Mercury, hence androgynous n Age of Sophia, Wisdom, consort of Creator.

Maybe it will be man’s pouring out of himself, his soul. From the unconscious depths, watering the earth.

Interesting thought and metaphor. Besides being "psyche," "soul" is also "pneuma" or "air."

Hi Carol,

As usual, I love your painting and, as usual, I can't even begin to analyze it. It's sorta like the guy who says, "I don't know anything about art, but I know what I like." Well, I can't analyze your paintings but I can feel them even if I don't know what emotions are engendered. I just experience them.

Thanks for sharing.

The figure looks ambiguous to me, on the one hand the pregnant figure

rising from the urn, on the other a humpbacked figure covered by a

hood, scarf and cape. Found this:

" A similar humpbacked figure is found in artifacts of the

Mississippian culture of the U.S. southeast. Between approximately

1200 to 1400 AD, water vessels were crafted in the shape of a

humpbacked woman. These forms may represent a cultural heroine or

founding ancestor, and may also reflect concepts related to the

life-giving blessings of water and fertility. "

The image of an upturned urn pouring out has been a frequent doodle in my journal for the past two years. I had a dream once of a colossal figure standing in a round building (colosseum) holding an urn pouring out water. I came across this imagepainted by Clare Goodwin which suggested to me the idea of taking up the urn and going out to pour out the contents. The urn image changed over time into an amphora("from both sides") and I imagined it upturned by two figures, one male, one female.Bruce

Carol,

Could you please place this image in the Photos section? I read the

list online and i don't want to miss out. I went to your web site,

but couldn't find this image. Your work is beautiful.

Thanks

Hello Sherri, everyone,

In case you couldn't see my painting " Subtle Wind " I've placed it in a

JUNG-FIRE photo album titled " Jewel World " .

Right now this painting is being exhibited in Switzerland. I sent cards for

the show to people at the Jungian institutes but haven't heard anything so

far.
