Guest guest
Hi - Sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I'm not familiar with the " stages " of RA - I've never heard of Stage IV. How do they consider it terminal? How does it different from the " moderate RA " you thought you had? I know that RA can vary in severity, but the classification of Stage IV is new to me. in Alaska ----- Original Message ----- From: Genest I'm new here but I figured I would jump right in. I have a new doctor since my insurance company dropped the old one. I am glad now. I was told today at my appt. That I am classified as Stage IV RA (terminal). I was shocked. I was always told I had moderate RA. But there is hope. I can now begin treatment more aggressively instead of waiting to see how high my numbers can go (old doc theory). Thank you for listening and letting me get this off my chest. I feel better now. G.

Guest guest
, I'm sorry about your bad news. I'm a little surprised by what your doctor told you. I've had this support group for 8 years, have been hearing stories from thousands of people, and have never heard of anyone saying they were terminal. What is happening for him to say that? Has RA attacked your organs? a On Aug 9, 2005, at 11:12 PM, Genest wrote: > I'm new here but I figured I would jump right in. I have a new doctor > since my insurance company dropped the old one. Guest guest
, I'm sure that you were just in shock when you were given this news. Please call this doctor and find out every detail that you can & what led them to this conclusion- this is your future that they're talking about. Let us know when you get more info & how you are doing. I'm writing your name on my prayer list right now.
