Guest guest
, I've been on Humira now for about 9 months and it's been great for me. I never had any side effects from it. I have allergies but it hasn't had any effect on them - hasn't made them worse. P

Guest guest
Hi , I started Humira in combination with my MTX pills about eight weeks ago and it has totally changed my life. I dragged my heels on starting it because I was so afraid, but it has completely changed my life. I actually have a bit of a life again can you believe that? I have cut way back on my pain meds and am doing quite well with it. The worst thing is the getting used to injecting yourself, but that turned out to be a breeze. For me if I inject in my lower abdomen, I feel nothing at all and usually never bleed. I got a stinging sensation for a second in the thigh area and bruised quite a bit there. It is different for everyone and you will figure out where is best to inject on you. Yes, be diligent about handwashing and be careful with money (it is filthy you have no idea) and shopping carts. I carry wipes and wipe them down before I shop and then Purell my hands. I stay away from sick people and ask them to stay away from me when they are sick. I have had one skin infection, but it did go away quite easily actually and was really no big deal at all. Just go to the doctor right away if you think you are getting sick. I also have many allergies and I am allergic to ragweed as well! No problems at all from the Humira with it. It did not make it worse or anything. I hope this goes well for you and you can email me at anytime at tracierae143@... if you have questions. I only regret dragging my heels and not starting it sooner; it has changed my life that much for the better:o) GOOD LUCK! I figure life is a crap shoot anyway and I would rather feel better than live like I was living with my RA. It is really amazing the difference. I hope it works well for you too! Guest guest
, If you are prone to infection or get sick easily, you can consider Enbrel rather than Humira. Enbrel can be taken twice a week, and is out of your system quicker than the Humira that you take every 2 weeks. Many drugs for RA suppress the immune system, because RA is thought to be the result of an overactive immune system. Enbrel has the same warnings, but I've not had any problems with increased infections in the 7 years I've been on it. If you have problems with the Humira, just know there is another option. a On Aug 9, 2005, at 11:47 AM, ju2346 wrote: > Hello Everyone, and may you please have a pain free day. > I am Riley and Humira is new to me_I add it to my > Methotrexate > next week_Can you help?
