Guest guest
" O! " -- " O! " (?) [to paraphrase a famous/infamous? line from one of the poets of your love/hate neighbor England?! :-)]to be in Ireland, now that March is there!! " _LOVED_ your post!! Much about finding it just now gave me a good laff which couldn't (for an oldfashioned phrase) " have been more opportune " ! I'd been sitting here frustrated by " one thing 'n another " , so I " came over here " (to this list), and there was your reply to my post to Eve. You know, it strikes me there's something (for a word I used years ago in a different conversation) " funnywonderful " about dyslexia. [?] I hope you don't mind my saying that but I'm at this moment now sort of suddenly racing against the clock as to the computer usage, having just learned (via computer) that a " real time " appointment I thought I had to wait for for an hour and a half is now scheduled for only a half hour from now (huge relief!). But meanwhile, while I tried to answer your post, Yahoo (if that's " who " ?) kept giving me a hard time! I wanted to backspace; it wanted to cut and paste. You know -- that kind of thing? Your posts are so wonderfully succinct (and mine so rambling!) that's part of what I meant in my opening remark there about " dyslexia " as " funnywonderful " ? Do you think of your dyslexia as a " handicap " ? Or do you see it maybe some times as a (without wanting to sound too " hokey " here) kind of special wisdom and insight? Of the past year or two I've been in a lot of phone conversations with a years back friend of mine I never knew was dyslexic. From time to time he reminds me that he can't use computers the way I do, but other than that, it keeps seeming to me that " alongside " ? his ? dyslexia? is all this special wisdom of his. Oh my! There I'm afraid I AM sounding a bit " hokey " , but I'll try to get back to a clearer, simpler post to you soon. Because, you see, part of what I wanted to write to you (before my own, in that sense, ? " dyslexia " -- at least where computers are concerned -- got in the way, was: " O to be in Ireland, now that March is there! " Thanx so much, ; " see you in a bit! " :-) marte
