Guest guest
Carol, I just recently had the same problem. It scared me to death. I don't know if it was something I ate, or I ate too later or what. So I don't really know what it could be. All I know is the burning was horrible. Guest guest
Hi Carol - It sounds like an acid reflux problem, which really isn't unusual but darned uncomfortable. I had a lot of acid reflux with some of the meds I used initially (I can't take Aleve, for instance, because it gives me awful acid reflux). It can also happen after you eat, especially if you eat quite a bit. Laying down makes it worse. If it only happens once in awhile, there's probably no need to worry much about it. I keep things like Tagamet, Tums etc. on hand for when it happens to me. I had it so bad for awhile that I was throwing up bile from the back of my throat on a daily basis. It wasn't much fun, but I got through it and now it rarely happens. in Alaska ----- Original Message ----- From: Dandcmayer@... Dear Group, I had the strangest thing happen last night. Guest guest
I'd just like to offer some advice for those with GERD or any indigestion problems. As simple as it sounds it does help to raise the head of your bed about 4 inches. I mean to put something under the legs of the bed to raise them up, using pillows will not work , because you can move around at night and get off them. I have had GERD for years, have had my throat operated on for the scaring, twice. But I no longer have the burning that went along with it. Just an idea to try ... ____________________________________________________ Start your day with - make it your home page http://www./r/hs
