Guest guest
Hi, I am doing some GI work for an ESL doc who talks very fast, so I have lots of questions today. 1. An EGD revealed *gastroesophageal* reflux esophagitis. This is very garbled on the tape, so I am wondering if this is something that would be shown on an EGD. I know there is gastroesophageal reflux but could not find it together with *esophagitis.* 2. A biopsy for H. pylori s/l *proclotis* is negative. 3. The pt is also status post esophageal dilation with *Mahoney* esophageal dilator, s/l *French* sizes of 58 and 60. I found a Maloney dilator but he spelled this. I am wondering if it was just spelled wrong or if there is a Mahoney one. 4. If the pt's epigastric pain and heartburn persist, then may consider 24-hour pH study or esophageal s/l *manology* study prior to referring the pt to possible Nissen fundication. Sorry, for so many questions. Thanks in advance for any and all help.
