Guest guest
, Were you sick when you were on 4 tabs? I got my injectable mtx from Lee Pharmacy in Ft AR. 800-209-9940 My doctor faxed the prescription and then I called to give them my credit card number. Many members here are having trouble finding injectable, so hopefully this will help. Hopefully you will sleep through any nausea if you take it at night. If it continues and the phenergan doesn't help, call your doctor. If the 4 tabs didn't make you sick, maybe he will adjust your dosage or try a different nausea medicine. I know how rotten it makes you feel, but hopefully it will help the RA. a On Jul 20, 2005, at 9:24 PM, batai9 wrote: > i have been on metho since march 05. i was initially on 4 tabs of > 2.5mgs. now 2 weeks on 6 tabs of 2.5mgs. taking folic acid daily and > phenergan for nausea. where do you get your shots from? i dont go > back to the dr till sept. i dont know if i should wait that long or > not. i can try taking it at night. but i dont want to up all night > nauseas either. any ideas? > julie >
Guest guest
a, I know where Lee Pharmacy is. That is strange that you get your medication from here. I use Vaughan Pharmacy. Guest guest
Beth, This is where my rheumy has been getting it since the shortage. Lee is a compounding pharmacy and can make the MTX. When the shortage is over, we'll both go back to whoever is manufacturing it. a On Jul 25, 2005, at 11:52 AM, Beth wrote: > a, > I know where Lee Pharmacy is. Guest guest
I called in my MTX order and asked my mailorder pharmacy if they knew of any problems, but they said " no " - Precision RX in TX. They actually were no long supplying it to their planholders and offered me a Year supply of injectable for $30.00, so I took it. Don't know if any of you have mailorder and have this happening, but I am set for a year. Expiration Dates are fine. Guest guest
Mayne is making MTX, but I don't know who else may be. I have no trouble getting it through my Hospital Pharmacy now, so I thought the shortage is over. I'm glad that now I can get it at an affordable price. There seemed to be price gouging by the compounders. Dennis Re: [ ] paula...Re: methotrexate problems > Beth, > > This is where my rheumy has been getting it since the shortage. Guest guest
Mayne is one of the few making it. As of Friday, many manufacturers are still not making it and expect not to until the end of August. Here is the latest report: * Methotrexate Injection Strength: 25 mg/mL, 1 g powder vials Comment: Methotrexate injection is in short supply because of manufacturing delays. American Pharmaceutical Partners has all products on back order until midsummer 2005. The company expects their 25 mg/mL 2-mL and 10-mL vials by the end of August 2005 and expects their 25 mg/mL 4-mL, 8-mL, and 40-mL vials in late September 2005. APP has no estimated release date for their 1 g preservative-free lyophilized powder vials. Bedford has all presentations of its 25 mg/mL preservative-free injection available (2-mL, 4-mL, 8-mL, and 10-mL vials). Mayne has supplies of US labeled methotrexate in 25 mg/mL 2-mL vials (with preservative, NDC 61703-0350-38) and 25 mg/mL 40-mL vials (preservative-free, NDC 61703-0408-41). Mayne's 20 mg and 1 g preservative-free lyophilized powder vials are unavailable with no release date. (07/28/05, University of Utah, Drug Information Service) http://www.ashp.org/shortage/availability-notices.cfm I paid $36.00 for a 25ml bottle. a On Jul 25, 2005, at 10:14 PM, Dennis W wrote: > Mayne is making MTX, but I don't know who else may be.
