Can you tell me if anyone else has hearing sensativity? >> Hi Trish, Yes, I am very sensitive to noises. When my nephew comes over and watches TV, I almost go through the roof. He's hearing impaired, so he listens to it pretty loud, and I make myself go in the other room. Even noises that aren't loud can just about push me over the edge. I work in an office and someone was typing on a typewriter the other day...I couldn't concenrate...all I could hear was that peck peck peck, and she was in the other room. I almost started yelling at her, and she's almost 80 years old!! It's a common chiari thing for senses to become hyper-sensitive. How are his reflexes and sense of smell? Before my decompression last year, I could kick the dr across the room when he checked my reflexes and could smell someone smoking in the car in front of me!! take care Tina
Guest guest
Hi Trish, After his op Haydn was very hypersensitive to sound too.He particularly hated the vacuum and any sudden noise. He was generally ok if he knew you were about to talk but otherwise he became upset. It took about 3 months for this to settle.
