Green Tea Found To Help Autoimmune Disorders and Cancer

Maher - All Headline News Staff Reporter

Atlanta, GA (AHN) - The Medical College of Georgia School of Dentristy

reports another reason to drink Green Tea...it helps destroy Cancer

cells.

A compound found in the tea called " polyphenols " as well as a protein

called " p57 " are found to actually help and protect healthy cells and

destroy harmful cancer cells by breaking them down and leading to their

destruction.

Researcher Dr. Hsu has discovered the benefits of the Green Tea

helping things such as wrinkles to oral cancer.

Speaking to an audience attending the Arthritis Foundation's fifth

biennial Arthritis Research Conference, he says, " I wanted to know how

green tea polyphenols affect the production of autoantigens. "

Dr.Hsu believes the research and data he has collected will show that

the a polyphenol called EGCG found in the tea actually works as an

anti-inflamatory towards such diseases as Lupus, type 1 diabetes,

rheumatoid arthritis, as well as Sjogren's Disease.

Hsu adds, " If EGCG suppresses inflammation, it should affect the

magnitude of the autoimmune response, possibly by suppressing

autoantigens. "

FOr those who like green tea, Lipton makes a bottled green tea with

citrus flavor in both diet and regular. It has a light crisp flavor

and isn't too overpowering for those who don't like green tea...Marina
