Guest guest
Oh Bonnie! That really stinks! It is so hard to find a good M.D. to feel comfortable with. I wish you lots of success with your search. P.S. Josh finally has his swallowing study on Thursday.
Guest guest
Bonnie, Oh no, not you too losing a good doctor!!! What difficult news to hear!!! I'm losing the gyne doctor that I went to, that knew all about EDS!! He was only at the clinic for 3 years!! Why are the good ones leaving? At least in the case of my rheumatologist,. I plan on hanging on to him even through the change in our insurance. If I can't work anything else out, I'll pay the 40% if I have to. But at least I have a choice! You'll need to go doctor hunting again! Hope you find one as good or better! There has to be one in the area somewhere!! I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you! Good Luck! From:Bonnie Heintskill Subject: lament - he's moving out of my town and going north to Wausau Wisconsin He is one great MD > Now I have to start all over again and find an MD who is similar to him! I did this when I moved to Winchester three years ago. My then GP told me that they were not allowed to recommend anyone or any practice but, if he moved up here, he would go to this particular practice. As several people had mentioned them as good, I registered with them. Best decision I have ever made. All the doctors are wonderful, even though most of them do not know about EDS. My GP is wonderful and has this running in his family, too, although he does not have it. I didn't have to teach him anything as he knows as much about it as I do. He is also very happy to work with my rheumatologist in treating me and asks him for advice if he is not sure of something. I hope your doctor can give you a recommendation that works out as well as mine has. -- Fuller Winchester, England HEDS (VEDS overlay), FMS, OA, IBS, lumbar scoliosis, tinnitus, some hearing loss, chronic depression, multiple allergies, asthma....
