Guest guest
Dear Alice...I read about the Greek " metamorphosis of the gods " in Jung's Vol. 10 p.304. Then I read more, especially about the precession of the equinoxes, in Dream Analysis p.422f. He says a lot of things there that it would be interesting to hear you elaborate on. There is another place I'm still looking for where he writes more. <<<3 Carol ----- Original Message ----- > In a message dated 12/29/2006 1:48:32 PM Eastern Standard Time, > caspicuzza@... writes: > > The Greeks thought that every 2,000 years the > god dies and is then reborn. > > Yes, indeed! Guest guest
Carol says: >>Perhaps there are no truly modern images of god in play. It seems to me that something is just beginning to come together, at least in certain people who are open to the unc.<< --The images are there, but mostly in movies, music and fiction, where they can work covertly, without triggering crucifixions. As long as a revolution or religion disguises itself as child's play or nonsense, it can spread without being hijacked or crushed. __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Yes, and I think they have always been there for those "who have eyes to see." As Alice points out in The Heavens Declare, it's just that now more of us are beginning to recognize them consciously and to develop a more sophisticated language around them.I think my deepest intention in writing Journey to Mythaca <http://journeytomythaca.com> was to do exactly what is describing.EvePS - Alice, I am looking into starting a group here using the Centerpoint materials. Our patience will achieve more than our force. Edmund Burke (1729 - 1797) Carol says:>>Perhaps there are no truly modern images of god in play. Guest guest
So far I haven't seen or read the equivalent of what I feel inside that wants to be expressed. I suppose that's what I'm trying to get to with my art.
