I've been skimming several weeks of posts today. It is pouring

rain...not unusual for the West Coast (, BC) but I get severely

unmotivated in the rain...a good day to catch up. A lot has been

happening around here. I've been reading about trigger fingers and

also talk about numbness and tingling in the foot...it made me think,

maybe someone out there can help solve my latest medical mystery...it

has stumped my rheumy, two podiatrists and a physio therapist!...I'm

sure you guys are all smarter anyway, so here goes...

Yes, I have RA in my feet, but have little bone/joint damage there and

the RA is under reasonable control right now...but I've had to quit

walking and also got modified duties at work...because my left big toe

doesn't bend properly...just a little bit and it jams everytime I take

a step and causes pain all the way down the inside of my left foot. I

used to walk a lot, since I had to quit swimming, now i can't walk.

All agree that it doesn't seem to be anything to do with the joint...it

just doesn't bend very well...so maybe a tendon or ligament that

contracted because of all the years of RA. Anyone else have anything

similar. I have an appointment with a GP who specializes in feet and

with an orthopedic surgeon...but I'm a bit frustruated. Any thoughts?
