Hi all,

My son's (2.7 yr, PDD-NOS)initial lab results indicated a low creatinine

and low homocysteine. Our DAN! Started us on mB12 injections and also

tested for the MTHR gene since it regulates that cycle.

The test results show one mutation in this gene. From what I read on

the diagnostic report 2 mutations is clinically significant for reduced

enzyme activity with clinical consequences. Our DAN thinks that 1

mutation is enough to indicate issues.

Can someone help me understand what the implications for the genetic

testing on MTHR for autism?

Also, after 1 month of mB12 intection (750mcg/72hr) we repeated lab

testing - his levels of homocysteine are now lower than what we started

with. Any thoughts on what to expect?

TIA

Santona

Santona,

I am so curious to hear the responses as we have the same

situation. Would you mind e-mailing me? I'd love to know who your

DAN is and what he/she recommends.

Thanks,
