--I think it's not just that women are better at

relating, but that their brains are less likely to

become autistic and replace reality with symbols and

abstractions. Military language is decidedly

" masculine " and autistic. Women may also be less

likely to compartmentalize and think in terms of the

success of their own group in a vacuum, or to refer

compulsively to a " bottom line " rather than noticing

context and the overall balance of interests.

Compartmentalization is responsible for a great deal

of corruption and stupidity in politics, and a more

even male/female ratio should prevent it to some

degree. It would not be enough to have a female at the

top, because a political system molds its leaders to

conform to the needs of the group as much as the other

way around.
