I never really thought about it before now, but there are an awful lot of them portraying the male as stupid or only thinking about sex. My husband is extremely bright, kind, sensitive, and I could go on and on. I am raising a son also to try and be sensitive and kind in this world, but I worry that he will not be able to survive it because the world can be such a rough place. He is going to be an awesome husband to someone someday though. He really cares about people's feelings and treats women with respect. I have taught him to hold doors open for ladies, little things like that wherever we go, and he is only 11. I will have little old ladies stop and tell me what a nice young man I have there. People do not often do those little things anymore. I like a man to open the door for me, is that so bad? Of course, I can use the help since I got the RA, LOL, but still it is a nice gesture.
