Guest guest
Hi all, I do not know if any of you remember meeting at the conference with the Specs 4 Us glasses. They were specially made glasses for children with Down Syndrome. They were more durable and actually made to fit our chilren's faces and wide nose bridge. Anyway I just wanted to let all of you know I was actually able to get these approved by Isabella insurance company. I got the eye doctor at childrens hospital to give me a letter requesting them. Then her PCP had to call her insurance company. I had to find a place that her insurance was accepted and they just get an okay from the insurance company to get the different frames than they normally allow. I know it sounds like a lot but it really only took a few hours of leg work and phone calls. I will let all of you know how the glasses are after I get them.
