Guest guest
Greetings...I don't know if you'ld be interested in this...but if you like to travel, might be " sick " in a year, and don't want to do a LOT of physical work......there are LOTS of trucking companies out there who not only hire women, but train them first, then partner them with another for a few weeks, (just to make sure you " got it " , and then turn youloose! The BEST part of it, is you are paid while you train, fed, housed, and the average trucker, nelieve it or not, makes a average of between 40 and 60 thousanda year, depending on how hard you want to work. If you think you might be able to work only a year, why not make the most money you can? I was a trucker for just about twenty years, and any questions you might have, I would only be too happy to answer ! Any help I can give....just ask! Well, it's an Idea anyway.......all my love to you, and may you keep on the upward path! love, ken.... N McK <nlmck1551@...> wrote:Hi everyone. I know that some of you don't know me, but some of you might recognize my name. I'm from VA. (this is a different email that what I've used in the past) I've been in physical therapy school for the past three years. I will be graduating VERY SOON!!!! I am now trying to make a decision regarding working and I'd like your opinion - since noone in my life can relate to how my health could do a complete 180 at any time. As of right now, I am not limited at all and could work 50-60 hour work-weeks if I wanted too and I've been doing a lot of hiking and exercising (trying to get my weight back down) Here's what I'm considering: *One job I'd we working as a travelling PT, with good benefits, they'd pay for housing and my hourly salary would be higher - but I'd move every 13 weeks - pretty much wherever I'd want to. *The other job would be a unique experience where I'd have the opportunity to be in charge of and help design a Women's Sports Medicine program. The benefits are also good, the pay is less, they wouldn't pay for housing, but they do have a sign-on bonus, and possibly tuition reimbursement. Because of the qualifications that they are looking, this position may be pretty difficult to fill. I'm thinking that they may still be looking for someone in a year or so - but there is no guarantee on that of course. Some people are recommending that I work at the 2nd job that I mentioned for a year or so, then travel. The one thing that holds me back from doing that is that I could be unheahlthy in a year. I'd love to get your input. I value all of your opinions and will consider your thought when making my decision. I hope you are all having a good day! Guest guest
Thanks for your reply Ken. But I am just now graduating from Physical Therapy school and am getting ready to start my new career in physical therapy. While I like to travel, I don't really like to drive, so I'd have to say that being a trucker would probably not be a good idea. Haha. I'm not expecting to only work a year, but I was thinking I might only want to travel a year, or get a year's experience here in New Mexico before travelling. Thanks for the suggestion - but driving would be a bit dangerous for someone who likes to fall asleep when she's driving Luv ya, > Greetings...I don't know if you'ld be interested in this...but if you like to travel, might be " sick " in a year, and don't want to do a LOT of physical work......there are LOTS of trucking companies out there who not only hire women, but train them first, then partner them with another for a few weeks, (just to make sure you " got it " , and then turn youloose!
