Guest guest
Hello Everyone, My computer crashed but I am finally back online trying to catch up. I thought I would ask all of you if you ever had pain from taking cholesterol medication. I have had this happen to me twice. Once a few years before I was diagnosed with RA and now just a week ago. My RA doctor told me my RA was inactive at the present time but I was still in agony. I asked him why and he said that this pain was probably OA. I happened to have an appointment with my primary doc the following week and we were talking about problems and I told him my bones hurt. Since I had had this same thing happen to me several years back and since he discovered that the problem was Lipitor. I came off of Lipitor then and my deep bone ache eased. Since I have had a recent heart attack I was put back on a cholesterol medication called Zocor. My dosage was 80 mg. Friends 80 mg. is too dang much. I think if they had put me on a smaller dose I might not have had the pain return and could still be having help with the cholesterol. Just a thought for some of you that might be experiencing unexplained pain. Happy Sunday. Hugs, Pat
