Guest guest Posted July 6, 2005 Report Share Posted July 6, 2005 Well guys I will be leaving Tuesday morning to go to Calif. to do the fast sure hopes it works they say they have a 80% success rate I " m getting scared the closer it gets its almost 2300 miles away and no family close by . but I can not go on hurting this way all the time. My doctor sure is no help. without some quality of life theres not much left.We dont relize what we have untill we lose it.My husband has been great does everything he can to help.he " s nervous about me going but feels like I do something has got to help. will try to take my computer with me and if anyone is interested will give update on how things are going. Dr. said everyone was different and responded different. But the plan is 2-3 weeks of water fast (water only) and longer if needed. then they start refeeding. I know they start with fresh squeezed juice not sure how long they will keep me on juice but they slowly reintroduce raw foods and steam veggie very slowly to see how my body reacts.theres much more to it but having trouble typing this morning . I think it's great that you're exploring non-traditional ways of treatment. How do you know if something isn't going to help you if you don't give it a try. As long as your supervised and monitored by a doctor or nurse, things should be fine. Please post when you've finished your fast and let me know how it goes for you. This is one very good way of finding out if food allergies or intolerance causes inflammation. I'm just glad that you are doing it in a controlled and supervised setting. I found out I am claustrophobic with the house being boarded up.lol I will be praying the storm heads another way_out to sea would be lovely.
