I know that they often prescribe Aricept at night, but I talked personally with

the Aricept drug rep, and he said it is best taken in the morning, since it

" lights up the brain. " My husband had always taken it in the a.m., and when the

NH gave it to him at night, that's when he started being awake all night. He

didn't do that at home. I also would recommend it being taken with food, as it

does have a tendency to cause nausea, which I think might be worse on an empty

stomach. At least, I know I can't take most meds on an empty stomach. It could

be tried either way and see what happens.
