Guest guest
, How old is your daughter? I had the same thing with my 2 older boys and expect it at some time soon with my little guy. They do have some type of night scares. What worked for us was a thing my hubby came up with called " monster traps " he pretends to have them in his pocket and gives my son(he is 3 but he also did it with my 9 year old) as many " traps " as he needs. My son then places the " traps " in all the places in his room that scare him. That helps him sleep through the night. Maybe it would work with your daughter. sandie

Guest guest
Oh, heaven. If we could get our dog and daughter under control, I think I'd get a good night's sleep in the new bed, but one has decided to have a complete FIT at bedtime every night, plus waking up screaming at least once during the night (I wish she could communicate better so I knew what was wrong...we think she's having nightmares because she's fighting going to sleep at night, but is fine with her naps), and the other has decided that he MUST go out to pee at least once during the night...usually twice. I'd leave him out there, but he's 100 lbs, and when he scratches at the door to come in, it sounds like a bear! The patio door is on the other side of the house, and it STILL wakes you up! Argh! Oh well...congratulations on your good night's sleep...hope it continues. Ahhhh, the memories... > OK, this was a big deal to me...I actually slept ALL NIGHT without > waking up ONE TIME!!!! Guest guest
Jane, I love to read your posts, you always have me laughing. We all have those times, thanks for sharing. Wow, you met Willie, and didn't even know it, gosh:) So awesome! Well, it's good to hear you had a good night sleep. We all like those, when were able to get one. My patches should be in next week, so just hangin' on. I'm really taking it easy, so I'm getting around. It's not hurting as bad, as a couple of weeks ago. Thanks for your prayers. Hope all the pics come out, it will be so much fun. You will have to download them, and share with us. Enjoy your evening, and know that your in my prayers, Tawny > OK, this was a big deal to me...I actually slept ALL NIGHT without > waking up ONE TIME!!!! Guest guest
Sandie, She's only 19 months, so she can't communicate much at all what is wrong. My husband thinks she is having nightmares about something because it started a couple of days after 4th of July fireworks, but I wonder if something in her room is scaring her. She has a nightlight, but there are still dark areas... That, or she's just trying to get into our bed to jump on it, which is what she did the last couple of nights we got tired of sitting with her and brought her into our room for a bit. Grrrr. It is one of those things that you don't want to coddle too much in case she's manipulating you, but you don't want to be callous if she's truly afraid. Ain't kids fun? > , > How old is your daughter? I had the same thing with my 2 older boys and > expect it at some time soon with my little guy. Guest guest
Greetings, Jane! Glad to hear all of your good news! Myself, I LOVE the Orient! Thank you for getting in touch with me....let me explain...if you read my earlier post, concerning the topic of " men " , and male bashing on t'v., I mentioned in it how when I missed my grandfather, when he was on the road, I would go to his closet, and grab one of his hats, and bury my face in it....his smell was in it, and it helped me " get thru " until he came back home again, (he was a trucker, like I was). Any way, hats are important to me, I collect them, and when some body gives me a hat, (this may sound " dumb " ), well, I am an incurable romantic, and that hat becomes " special " to me. What I was asking, was if anybody would be willing to send me a hat from the area they live in. (Marina sent me one from Las Vegas, and when ever I wear it, or hold it, it's like she's right there! ) I have hats from people who are special to me, they mean a lot to me, and THIS group has literally saved my life! There are so many of you that I have come to love! Alvarez also sent me one, and Judith Ann is planning on it!I TOLD ya it was " dumb " haha! But, see, those hats ARE special to me! They have come to me from someone I LOVE, who at least LIKES me! haha! My address is 22 Andie Angie Circle, Asheville, N.C. 28806.......tel. is unlisted..828-683-3144. Call me if you ever have a need to just talk to someone quick...I am always here..(house bound) All my love to you, and I mean that! I Bless the Lord that I have friends such as you!(it will be interesting to see how many of my family DOES send me a hat! haha! I love ya, kiddo! Sleep well, and awaken pain free tomorrow! love, ken ANE <janeatregis@...> wrote: OK, this was a big deal to me...I actually slept ALL NIGHT without waking up ONE TIME!!!! Guest guest
Jane, WOW!! I can't remember what it's like to sleep through the night! If it's not me waking up, it's Ron, and when he wakes up it's usually with a screaming nigthmare. He can never remember the dream, but it takes me a couple of hours to get back to sleep, while he rolls over and starts snoring immediately. I'm half tempted to smack him awake again so we can start out even! LOL Glad your daughter is back safely, and I'll bet she is full of wonderful stories about her trip.
