Mold Settlement at SDSU

San Diego State University announced Monday it had reached a $6.1 million

settlement in the Superior Court case against Blake Construction et al,

involving toxic mold at the 600-bed Chapultepec dormitory. The dorm will be

closed for at least the next year while it is cleaned up. School spokesman

Jack Beresford said the facility should open in time for the fall 2002

school year.
