Guest guest
Thanks Jane for sticking up for us. I have been exposed to both sides. I just tell myself they are overworked for the ones who are less sensitive. I have been turned down for SSD; it was taken to the level of the court system, and even the judge admitted I had severe RA, but that I brought it on myself by not taking the DMARDs sooner. He denied my claim. That was 5 years ago. So, I learned then I was on my own and that is how I treat the condition. I research causes and research them again. It has been 10 years this June. I also had a wonderful GP who I didn't want to stop seeing. He had to make me see a rheumatologist. I just loved the care I was getting so I clung to his practice. He told me not to put too much hope in getting SSD and to just go back to school to retrain for something I could do with RA since I was married. I also had an RA doc who is over 300 miles away; I would make trips to see him because he didn't push anything on me, he was attentive, listened to my concerns and fears and answered any questions I had until I was completely reassured about his suggestions. He is the one who finally got me to take Arava with Enbrel with prednisone. No other combo has worked for me since then. I was so afraid to take it, and it helped. The side effects were too much for me though, but that was the only time and the last time I have had real pain control where I actually could work. I was able to work for 3 months. I have been in constant pain before that time and since that time. Maybe we all should go see your doctor? lol Talk to you soon. love/peace, Ebony
