Guest guest
When I first decided to try the low-oxalate diet I went to the website at http://www.med.umich.edu/obgyn/vulva/vulvod.html I went through the list of low oxalate foods and picked out some that I liked and normally eat. I made a grocery list and put them on the list. That is all I ate for about a week. I had immediate results. Over a period of time I learned that certain foods on that list made my symptoms come back so I eliminated them and gradually was able to add other foods on the medium and high oxalate lists. But I was dedicated and really wanted to stop my pain at all costs. Some things I cannot eat are sugar, pepper, cinammon, salty stuff like chips, for example I can eat canned peaches but have to drain and rinse them to get rid of the syrup. There are several low-oxalate lists on the Net but they do not necessarily agree with each other. You have to be creative and pay attention to symptoms when you eat something to see if it has an effect. Ora
