Remicade experience?

A friend of mine works for the company who makes Remicade. She said

it's a good one. (I read up on it. I hardly think that liver disease

and heart failure are " good, " but I degress.) I thought maybe though

that it might be worth the try.

Then I read that it was a 2hr appt, plus time to make sure you

wouldn't die from a reaction. I have 4 kids....there's no way I can

take time out to get this drug every 6 wks, esp in the beginning when

it's 3 doses in 6 wks.

Has anyone tried this drug? What was your experience?

Thanks again.

I started on Remicade in April. So far its seems to be helping. I was on

Embrel with no results. My Doc says when you switch from Embrel to Remicade,

it is usually your 3rd dose that you notcie a difference and I had my 3rd

dose about 4 weeks ago. I noticed a decrease in my pain level and also a

decrease in my swelling. Not a huge decrease but enough for me to notice.

With the Enbrel- my pain levels were going up!

I am in the Doc's office for about 2.5 hours and now I go every 8 weeks.

Went 1st time then back in 2 weeks then back in 4 weeks then back in 6.

Hope this helps!
