Guest guest
Hey girls!!!! I have to agree about the accent issue. My daughter who was raised in Birmingham, Alabama had quite the draw for several years. I had one for a short time. It is amazing how quick you actually catch it so to speak. I grew up here in Kansas and spent my summers in Oklahoma. Back then we thought Oklahoma was extremely South! That seems so funny now and such a long time ago. WOW! When I was in Oklahoma, they would tell me that I had an accent. I'm assuming " Northern " ? When I would come back here, they would say that I had an accent that I picked up WAY DOWN SOUTH in good ol' Oklahoma!!! LOL go figure? My daughter goes back to Birmingham for the summers and comes back a southern belle every time. Seems more or less contaigous. I always thought that the difference was in the North everyone is busy so they cut the words short. In the South they are more laid back and have the time to stretch out all of the vowels that pass through their lips. Okay now I miss the South. Better go for I cop an attitude about this darn state. LOL XXX's & OOO's to you both! Kim
