Guest guest
Dawna - I am not saying that all doctors are bad - This one also saved 's life when she was 6 months old - so she was a really good doctor who did not want to put through an uncomfortable test - but think of how uncomfortable she was for so long. Guest guest
1. It sounds like it'd time for a new Dr, just because she has Ds doesn't mean Meds made for GERD won't work for her or that she is in less discomfort. BTDT sorry Dr's can suck. 2. s has horribly delicate skin, she can get rough patches anywhere, but her poor little face was always chapped until I found Everything Balm. I order it online from GoodiesUnlimited.com (they sell special soaps too.) Not only does it work but its all natural wich is good since she eats EVERYTHING.LOL HTH Jo Ann --- In MosaicDS , Dawna Brady wrote: > > > > > > took my daughter to the doctor an found out a few things > > # 1 she has a viral infection > # 2 she had a allergic reaction to something > # 3 she has gerd - acid reflux > > took my little girl to the doctor she now weighs 16lbs at 11.5 months old will be a yr old on the 1st of march, the doctor looked at the rash an said she had a viral infection , but then she wanted to check other things to make sure it was nothing else she doesnt have an ear infection an her nose was clear ect but when she look in my daughters mouth she said she could see something in the back of her throat -- so then she said it looks like my daughter had an allergic reaction to something she eather ate or drank. then as we was standing there talking my daughter spit up alot of her milk so the doctor asked me how long ago i had given her anything to eat or drink well she hadnt ate nothing before going to the doctors but she had a sippy cup of isomil formula about 2 hrs before the doctor seen her -- so right away she told me my daughter has gerd . > > my daughter has been a spitter an puker sence she was born an her actual doctor never did anything about it i was told several times to thicken her formulas by her actual doctor an her early intervention people so i did but it never helped, ive even changed her formula a number of times trying to find a solution to the problem. just started her on the isomil this past saturday. > > anyways when i got home from stat care i called her actual doctor about what the stat care doctor said about her haven gerd - acid reflux -- which her actual doctor got kinda grumpy with me an told me nothing would help her cause of her condition (the down syndrome) anyways im tired of her diagnoses being a cause as to why he wont do things for her or get her checked out to find out whats going on -- so anyways i kinda got pissy with him an hes then decided to put her on zantac for 2 wks until i take her in for her 1 yr check up in a few weeks - then hes talking about doing an x - ray then to find out whats going on . > > the viral an allergic reaction is what caused the rash. > > down syndrome is what she has not what she is an im tired of her not getting normal treatment from her doctor like a normal kid would its bs (sorry). > > over all my daughter has been normal happy an healthy with a few ear infections an the common colds thats it. > > > > >
Guest guest
Those first three things you mention are also signs of mastocytosis. Doctors will think it is a viral rash, but it is brought out by an allergan.(orspecific med....can be motrin, but does not have to be) Mastocytosis is life threatening due to the risk of anaphylaxis (throat closing up). And I have recently read will cause an increase in gastric acid. The only reason I am mentioning this is because " Mastocytosis " is about as rare as MDS. Might ought to check up on it. Most doctors do NOT recognize mastocytosis, just like they do not recognize MDS; it is rare. (And I wondered if it was connected becuase the mast cells are abnormal when they appear.) > > > > > > took my daughter to the doctor an found out a few things > > # 1 she has a viral infection > # 2 she had a allergic reaction to something > # 3 she has gerd - acid reflux > > took my little girl to the doctor she now weighs 16lbs at 11.5 months old will be a yr old on the 1st of march, the doctor looked at the rash an said she had a viral infection , but then she wanted to check other things to make sure it was nothing else she doesnt have an ear infection an her nose was clear ect but when she look in my daughters mouth she said she could see something in the back of her throat -- so then she said it looks like my daughter had an allergic reaction to something she eather ate or drank. then as we was standing there talking my daughter spit up alot of her milk so the doctor asked me how long ago i had given her anything to eat or drink well she hadnt ate nothing before going to the doctors but she had a sippy cup of isomil formula about 2 hrs before the doctor seen her -- so right away she told me my daughter has gerd . > > my daughter has been a spitter an puker sence she was born an her actual doctor never did anything about it i was told several times to thicken her formulas by her actual doctor an her early intervention people so i did but it never helped, ive even changed her formula a number of times trying to find a solution to the problem. just started her on the isomil this past saturday. > > anyways when i got home from stat care i called her actual doctor about what the stat care doctor said about her haven gerd - acid reflux -- which her actual doctor got kinda grumpy with me an told me nothing would help her cause of her condition (the down syndrome) anyways im tired of her diagnoses being a cause as to why he wont do things for her or get her checked out to find out whats going on -- so anyways i kinda got pissy with him an hes then decided to put her on zantac for 2 wks until i take her in for her 1 yr check up in a few weeks - then hes talking about doing an x - ray then to find out whats going on . > > the viral an allergic reaction is what caused the rash. > > down syndrome is what she has not what she is an im tired of her not getting normal treatment from her doctor like a normal kid would its bs (sorry). > > over all my daughter has been normal happy an healthy with a few ear infections an the common colds thats it. > > > > >
