Note- their fireworks are after the holiday. Past experience is that

you can go to the Fox River Grove Metra station and ride a school bus

for free up to the FW site. The fireworks are held on the river on

the

back side of the ski jump, and it is quite an interesting set up.

(but

it is a kinda long walk from where the bus lets you off- they DO have

handicapped parking down near the river, though, but I do not know for

sure how you get in there.)

Another note, FRG just emailed me to tell me they are going to have a

water ski show at 7 PM before the fireworks!

No, Country Thunder is not on here cuz I do not know quite what is up

there- but the crowd had gotten pretty hard the last 2 years.....and I

do not know if there were even free tickets this year- plus I know

was some question if there would even BE a Country Thunder this year.

and no, none of the cool Wis stuff is here, either.
