Hello! Good morning! I just now read your post. I just wanted to

let you know that I'm sorry that it took so long to get back with

you, as I'm usually off the computer at night. (not always but,

usually) Anyhow, I'm sorry that your tummy is acting up. I tell

everyone that my stomach is mad at me when I go through that. You

can go to the store and get Prilosec OTC to help ease your stomach

and I do suggest that you see your doctor!!! Are you on any meds?

If the Prilosec doesn't work alone - you can take Zantac OTC with it

until you can see your doctor. But, before taking anything suggested

above, at least call your doc's office and verify that you can take

that until you see him/her!

I was on Protonix, my insurance pulled the rug right out from

underneath that. Switched a month (with no medicine at all) later. I

was then changed to Prevacid and a month or so into it; I wasn't

getting any better and the directions say that it may take up to 8

weeks for full effect or something like that? So, I kept with it,

only to end up with a worse case of stomach poblems, thought I was

dying. It was unreal! My doctor then took me off of it and

mentioned that I was allergic to it or something like that. He then

called in a script for the Protonix to my pharmacy. Got there hoping

to get relief only to be told once again that it wasn't covered and

that it would be $178.00! I called the doc's office to let them know

that I could not get Protonix and that there had to be something that

I could take until this was all worked out because I wasn't going to

go through that again. They gave me some samples of Protonix. That

was a Friday. By Monday - better and on Tuesday good to go! Then I

ran out of my 2 week supply. They had no samples left. Luckily I

had an appointment in a day or so. In the mean time I was to take

Prilosec OTC and Zantac with it if need be. It didn't counter with

anything as I'm not taking anything! Seen the doc a couple days

later. Meanwhile, I ended up having to take both pills to keep my

stomach fairly under control. He then gave me samples of Nexium that

I will run out of in a couple of days. It seems to be really working

well for me - which is good and bad. Good - because it doesn't give

me headaches or hunger pains like the Protonix and Bad, because it

probably isn't covered and they are out of samples. Okay - So

SORRY. Wow! It's my C.T.S.D.! Went from a flash back to a flash

forward! Anyhow - hope this helps! Good luck! Kim

PS: Kick your boss for me!!!

Kim,

I wish the people making the insurance drug coverage decisions could

spend just one day in your shoes.
