Guest guest
Hint. Viagra helps ---actually, maybe I should make that IgAN causes hypertension and high cholesterol, which eventually has an effect on all the micro-vasculature, not to mention the effects of high blood pressure meds. Not sure how this might affect females though. Pierre Malt wrote: LOL Pierre. Hey c'mon guys don't go all shy on us now!!!! We ladies need to know what happens with you guys as well. After all I plucked up the courage to post my message, we're all adults here, well nearly all I think, our youngest being Pam's son at 16 isn't it? I have read about some problems males suffer with kidney disease, but nothing like this for us ladies. I promise to keep everyone updated ok.Cheers everyone. -----Original Message----- From: Pierre Lachaine Sent: 31 December 2000 21:57 To: iga-nephropathyegroups Subject: Re: Delicate matter? It's Ok. We guys won't peek while you ladies discuss this. We'll go and watch some American football bowl games on TV or something Seriously though, I don't think much has been written about this subject with respect to women. Chronic kidney disease certainly is known to cause rather undesirable problems in that area for men. Pierre Malt wrote: Hi Friends Me again? Perhaps you can see why I said I was challenging to my Neph......always questions? Now this is a delicate matter, and particulary aimed at the ladies with IGAN.....has anyone noticed that sexual activity has become painful since diagnosis? I suffer with real bad flank pain afterwards, and low abdomen and groin pain......admittedly I have a urine dynamic test coming up in January to check bladder function etc.......my Neph said he has heard of similar complaints before now, but surprise surprise, it has not been proven medically that IGAN can cause sexual activity pain? But he did hint that IGAN can clash with hormone balances, which can cause this type of problem. Thoughts anyone? Has taken me ages to pluck up the courage to post this, but I have done it now. Guest guest
Hi , I'm glad you've posted this msg. I have in the past had pains during sexual activity, lower abdomen pains and flank pains... but I do believe the pains occured during, not sure how long afterwards (Since I'm not involved in a relationship at this time I'm going by memory here ). I did talk to my Dr about this before and was told that the lower abdomen pains are caused by a... something to do with the position of the uteris, lower than its supposed to be or something, but this was never mentioned to me while I was pregnant with my son and I don't understand that it would just happen all of the sudden. Then again what do I know... I can't remember half of the stuff I know anyways, hehe. Ginger > > > Hi Friends > > > > Me again?
