Aciclovir....Best time to give

Hi To all

I have an ASD child of 5 years.

History of viruses..ASD possibly triggered by HHv6.

Has shown for Herpes 1/2/varicella on Immunosciences panel as well.

We have flare ups of spots around his mouth everytime he is loosing /

gaining a tooth. I think its immune possibly herpes..

I have managed to get my Dr to give me acyclovir to see if it helps.

My question is when is it more effective..?

During an outbreak or it is better when there are no symptoms.

Looking for advice from anyone who has experience of this with success.
