pain in the eye question

Hello all;

Last night I got a whopper of a pain in my right eye. It felt like someone

stuck a stick in it. The pain was so intense that it woke me out of a sound

sleep. Is that a migraine? I actually got up to see if the lens was

dislocating or something like that. Nothing. Is fine today. Just curious.

Hi --

did you perhaps sleep with your eye open so it dried out? This can make it

hurt.

If it's a deep ache in your eye you should go get checked for glaucoma.

I sometimes get this type of pain. In my case, it seems to mean that

another blood vessel has gone in the eye. Some of these are visible in

the 'white' of the eye (which has a blue tinge, a slight yellow tinge -

my liver is playing up again, and lots of red wavy lines).
