It took me about 8-10 weeks before I started getting any relief with MTX... I

still have symptoms although they are less now. I am going to start on Enbrel

within a week or so.

-------------- Original message --------------

WEll, I guess I can't really say they're not working yet because it's

only been 4 weeks. However, I have seen nor felt any relief in my

swelling. In fact, my left wrist is doing some funky swollen thing

now. I don't see the rheumy for another 2 weeks. Should I bug him now

about this new swelling that's popping up or just wait?? Also, if

there are any women out their 20's or 30's, or older women who had RA

in their 20's/30's I have a personal question that I'd like to

discuss. I would appreciate it. Thanks everyone!

I started getting better on week 5 of MTX...it was like one day after

the 6th dose and boom...I felt better all of a sudden. Give it another

couple of weeks...if still nothing you may need to increase the dose.

I'm 31 and had RA all through my 20s. you can contact me directly if

you wish and I can try and help you.

How much MTX are you taking? I would call your rheumatologist. You aren't

bugging him. He should want to know about new swelling.

Not an MD

I'll tell you where to go!
