A therapist told us that he suspects that my 85 yr old mother in law has BPD. What a revelation! I have known her for 33 years and had never met anyone that I felt so awful around. I thought it was because I had married her only son that she was so ugly to me. I stayed up all night reading the Eggshell book that I just happened to have at my house that I bought for a girl I knew several years ago. It fits like a glove. Explains why she has no friends and no family that want to come see her. I hope to learn a lot from this group. Since the MIL has come to live with us and is now in a nursing home, all of the issue have escalated. Thanks for listening and being there.
